Request.method
This is an experimental technology
Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for usage in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the specification changes.
The method
read-only property of the Request
interface contains the request's method (GET
, POST
, etc.)
Syntax
var <var>myMethod</var> = <var>request</var>.method;
Value
A ByteString
indicating the method of the request.
Example
In the following snippet, we create a new request using the Request.Request()

var myRequest = new Request('flowers.jpg'); var myMethod = myRequest.method; // GET
