VRDisplayCapabilities.hasExternalDisplay

This is an experimental technology
Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for usage in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the specification changes.

The hasExternalDisplay read-only property of the VRDisplayCapabilities interface returns a Boolean stating whether the VR display is separate from the device's primary display.

Note: If presenting VR content would obscure other content on the device, this will return false, in which case the application should not attempt to mirror VR content or update non-VR UI because that content will not be visible.

Syntax

JavaScript
var hasAnExternalDisplay = vrDisplayCapabilitiesInstance.<code>hasExternalDisplay</code>;
