EndDelay
This is an experimental technology
Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for usage in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the specification changes.
The endDelay
property of the Web Animations API represents the number of milliseconds to delay after the end time of an animation. The end time of an animation effect is simply the sum of its delay
, duration
, and endDelay
.
This is useful for sequencing animations based on the end time of another animation.
Note: Although this is typically only useful in combination with sequence effects introduced in a subsequent level of this specification, it is included here for the purpose of representing the min
attribute in SVG ([SVG11], Chapter 19).
Note: Element.animate()
, KeyframeEffectReadOnly.KeyframeEffectReadOnly()
, and KeyframeEffect.KeyframeEffect()
all accept an object of timing properties including endDelay.
The value of endDelay
corresponds directly to AnimationEffectTimingReadOnly.endDelay
in timing
objects returned by AnimationEffectReadOnly
, KeyframeEffectReadOnly
, and KeyframeEffect
.
Syntax
// Delay the end of the animation by 3 seconds var timingProperties = { endDelay: 3000 }
Value
A number representing milliseconds. Defaults to 0.
