HTMLIFrameElement.getCanGoForward()
Non-standard
This feature is not on a current W3C standards track, but it is supported on the Firefox OS platform. Although implementations may change in the future and it is not supported widely across browsers, it is suitable for use in code dedicated to Firefox OS apps.
This API is available on Firefox OS for privileged or certified applications only.
The getCanGoForward()
method of the HTMLIFrameElement
is used to indicate whether it's possible to go forward in the navigation history of the browser <iframe>
.
Syntax
There is a DOMRequest
version and a Promise
version:
var instanceOfDOMRequest = instanceOfHTMLIframeElement.getCanGoForward();
instanceOfHTMLIframeElement.getCanGoForward()
.then(function(result) { ... });
Returns
Returns either
- A
DOMRequest
object to handle the request's success or error. If the request is successful, the request'sresult
will be a boolean indicating if the history can be navigated forward (true
) or not (false
). - A
Promise
that resolves with a boolean that equalstrue
if the history can be navigated forward orfalse
if not.
