HTMLInputElement.webkitDirectory
Non-standard
This feature is non-standard and is not on a standards track. Do not use it on production sites facing the Web: it will not work for every user. There may also be large incompatibilities between implementations and the behavior may change in the future.
The HTMLInputElement.webkitDirectory
is a property that reflects the webkitdirectory
HTML attribute and indicating that the <input>
element is intended to select directories. Browsers may use this information to display a tailored file picker.
Unlike HTMLInputElement.directory
, setting the property to true
doesn't set the HTMLInputElement.files
property to null
.
Syntax
inputElmt.webkitDirectory = boolValue
Example
var inputElt = document.getElementsByTagName('input')[0]; if (inputElmt.webkitDirectory) { console.log("Only directories can be selected"); }
